SKAKO Lift sells the Denka Trailerlift activity
Oct 4, 2011
SKAKO Lift A/S, an OMX quoted subsidiary of SKAKO A/S, concluded an agreement with Denka Lift Denmark A/S on 19 September for the purchase of the Trailerlift activities, marketed under the Denka brand.
The agreement will have immediate effect and concerns 15 employees in SKAKO Lift’s production in Odense who will be taken over by the Purchaser. Denka Lift Denmark will move the production back to the same facilities in Holbæk from where the Denka activity was previously operated until the end of 2009.
”I am pleased that the Denka production will be continued in Denmark and in Holbæk in the very same facilities where the company has been for decades” says Lars Bugge, chairman of the board in SKAKO Lift A/S, who adds that conclusion of the contract took a longer time than expected at the signing of the conditional agreement on 16 March 2011. ”We are pleased that the future of the Denka Trailerlift products has now been settled and that the purchasers have a thorough knowledge of both products and markets".
The divestment takes place in continuation of the divestment of the Falcon Spider Lift activity which was concluded on 25 August 2011.
The total divestment of both activities in SKAKO Lift is expected to give a positive cash flow.
